Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at Hello@menwalktalk.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.

No – all walks are free. Parking may incur charges depending on the site.

Men aged 18+ are welcome. No upper age limit.

All the details for our walks can be found on our Walks Page, search by region, click on the event you're interested in and complete the sign-up. This will let the volunteer walk-leader know to expect you.

Comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, water bottle, and any snacks you like. A small first-aid kit is optional, but our walk-leaders will have one.

No worries, life happens. Please cancel via the booking email you've received, this will notify the walk-leader. Also, feel free to let the group know on WhatsApp.

Absolutely – well-behaved dogs are welcome at most MenWalkTalk walks! 🐾

Please make sure:

  • Your dog is kept on a lead at all times
  • You bring waste bags and clean up after them
  • Your dog is comfortable around other people and dogs

Some walks may have specific restrictions depending on the location (e.g. nature reserves or beaches with seasonal rules), so it’s always best to check in the local WhatsApp group. You are responsible for your dog at all times.

We usually walk rain or shine. If there’s severe weather, we’ll let you know in the WhatsApp group.

Walks are gentle and accessible to most. Email us for route details if you’re unsure about hills or uneven paths.

Yes! We try and make sure that our walking routes are flat and wheelchair-friendly. Please let us know if you need extra support or would like us to clarify.

Firstly, BIG LOVE!

We are signed up to receive donations from Facebook and Instagram Fundraisers JustGiving, GoFundMe, TotalGiving and if you've raised funds in other ways you can send payments to us directly online via PayPal Giving Fund

We are so thankful for any fundraising support and would love to share your fundraising efforts on our socials, so please get in touch by completing the form on our fundraising page

Firstly, we are always sad to hear about a completed suicide and the loss that your family and loved ones may be facing.

If you're interested in raising money at a funeral or a remembrance event and want people to donate to us, we are signed up with 'Much Loved' - the online tribute charity where your loved one can be remembered.

Legacy giving

Legacy giving means leaving a gift to MenWalkTalk in your Will. It allows you to support men’s mental health in a lasting way and helps ensure our work continues for future generations.

Many people choose to leave a gift in their Will as a way of supporting a cause that has mattered to them during their lifetime. A legacy gift can help MenWalkTalk continue reducing isolation, supporting men’s wellbeing, and creating welcoming spaces for men to connect.

You can choose to leave:

  • A percentage of your estate
  • A fixed sum of money
  • A specific asset, such as property or investments

Your solicitor can help you decide what feels right for you.

No, there is no obligation to tell us. If you do decide to let us know, it allows us to thank you personally and understand any wishes you may have. Any conversations will always be treated with care and confidentiality.

Yes. Your Will can be updated at any time. If your circumstances change, your solicitor can advise you on how to make updates.

Gifts left to registered charities, including MenWalkTalk, are exempt from Inheritance Tax. Your solicitor or financial adviser can explain how this may apply to you.

If you’d like to ask a question or have a confidential conversation, please contact us at Hello@menwalktalk.co.uk

You can also find more information on our Leave a Legacy page.
